New features in upcoming yaVDR 0.3: USB wakeup

Ever wanted to start your VDR with your remote control? With yaVDR-0.3 you can, if the receiver of your remote control has the ability to wake the computer from sleep.

And there's good news: Most of the popular "Windows MCE" remote control receivers can do this as well as those bundled with the Gyration remotes and many, many others. Chances are pretty good that your USB receiver is amongst them.

There's nothing you need to setup for USB-wakeup to do it's magic: Simply plug in your remote receiver and yaVDR-0.3 automatically detects if it can wake your VDR from one of the sleep states and enables it to do so. This feature works with the shutdown methods "suspend to RAM" and "suspend to DISK". If you should experience any trouble with this feature or just don't want it, you can disable it by moving the upstart job "usb-wakeup" out of the way.
